The One Thing The Media Failed Us In Their Coverage of COVID-19.

What is the topic the media never covered?
What is the most important health corrective measure that the media dramatically omits when it comes to protection from COVID-19?
First, the media scared everyone into staying at home, pounded on all of us to fear COVID. The message was clear: there is no protection against COVID. The noise level was deafening and fear was everywhere.
All the media focused on was when will the vaccines be ready to protect us. As we say in sports, they are now putting on the full court press - urgently telling us that vaccination is the true answer.
In fact, we are hearing and reading in the news and press that freedom will be granted from our home-bound restrictions if we get a vaccination. And that we will be free to travel easily if we get our vaccination passport.
But really is this getting at the root cause of this pandemic? Is this all that medical science through the drug companies can offer us to be well and to be resistant to this virus and others to surely come? The answer is absolutely not.
What does the media negate to cover seriously? We certainly have demonstrable scientific evidence as proof that building the immune system, eating healthy diets, exercising and taking care of our mental health all go toward resilience and the ability to thwart off viral and bacterial infections.
The field of Integrative Medicine has the real answer to helping us protect ourselves from the COVID blight and chronic diseases in general for it holistically addresses the health of the individual, society, and world. Shouldn’t the media start to ask and investigate how can we make our world into a healthier, more equitable and sustainable world?
Eradicating chronic disease and future pandemics requires a whole systems approach. We need to look at the root causes of chronic and infectious diseases and how to truly attain a healthy longevity. This is what the media, our medical institutions and government should be focused upon, and to infuse into the public the desire to understand and to receive the all to obvious holistic solutions.
