Prostate Cancer and Broccoli Sprouts
Dear Friends
Prostate cancer accounts for approximately 28% of newly diagnosed cancers in the USA and is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men in the Western world. The American Cancer Society's estimates about 191,930 new cases of prostate cancer and around 33,330 deaths from prostate cancer in 2020.
A promising agent that reduces prostate cancer incidence and progression is sulforaphane- a sulfur-rich compound found in great amounts in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli sprouts. Sulforaphane has the ability to attack cancer in many different ways. Livingston et al. (2019) describes Sulforaphane's ability to induce antioxidant pathways, death (apoptosis) of cancer cells, inhibition of inflammation and angiogenesis and detoxification of carcinogens. Sulforaphane is a hard working nutrient in the body.
Glucosinolates & Sulforaphanes provides 60 capsules (500mg per capsule) of organic broccoli sprout powder full of sulforaphane potential. Brocolli sprouts harvested on the third day of growth are the richest nature source for sulforaphanes. On the label, BioImmersion guarantees a glucosinolate level of 15,000 ppm, a glucoraphanin level of 10,000 ppm and a sulforaphane potential of 4,000 ppm. As you can see on our Certificate of Analysis below, we have twice as much potency in each capsule!
