The effects of ellagic acid on cell cycle events and apoptosis were studied in cervical carcinoma cells and were found to be very effective in inducing G1 arrest.
Many cancers including breast and skin cancers have been prevented from proliferating by causing the tumor cells to enter G1 arrest, preventing the cells from dividing and spreading.
Ellagic acid is a phenolic compound present in fruits and nuts including raspberries, strawberries and walnuts. It is very concentrated in Rosehip, which can be found in the BioImmersion’s Phyto Power with three species of wildcrafted very potent Alaskan Rosehip.
