Longevity: Treating Chronic Disease

The scientific field of Longevity studies the forces that create chronic disease globally and the method that can reverse and prevent these illnesses.  We created potent formulas based on their studies and findings.

Immunosenescence and inflammageing are two key causative forces that are linked with the diseases of our time—metabolic syndrome, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, neurological disease, and other NCDs (Calder et al., 2017).

Franceschi (2014) has coined the term, Inflammageing:  As we age the concentration of pro inflammatory molecules increase in our blood stream—including acute phase proteins (CRP and serum amyloid A), cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8), and adhesion molecules (sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1) amongst others.  The key to reversing chronic diseases and attaining a healthy life and longevity is to have plenty of anti-inflammatory molecules aboard and this can be attained through a specific diet and supplementation.

Immunosenescence:  One common characteristic of ageing is a decline in innate and acquired immune function, called immunosenescence, which increases ones susceptibility to infection.  The preserving of a healthy and strong immune system can be prolonged through a healthy anti-inflammatory food supplementation that turns on our endogenous antioxidant producing genes and networks; as well as to providing the kinds of fiberous and polyphenol rich foods that promote the development of a healthy, life- supporting gut microbiome.
