Inflammation and Anti Aging
Slowing, controlling or reversing Low Grade Inflammation (LGI) is a way to prevent age-related functional decline. Specific and strategic dietary intervention provides a successful way to prevent age-related functional decline (Calder et al., 2017).
A study on 1018 Italian old persons demonstrated that higher levels of certain inflammation-related mediators such as IL- 6, IL-1ra ,TNA-a, TNF- a receptor II (TNFAR2) were associated with higher number of age related chronic illnesses, such as hypertension, diabetes, ischemic heart disease, stroke, cancer, Parkinson’s, hip fractures, joint diseases, anemia, kidney disease, and cognitive impairment (Fabbri et al., 2014).
The current study documents that age-related inflammation and decline in DHEAS are indicative of overall multimorbidity in the elderly. Moreover, higher baseline levels of IL-6 and a steeper increase in IL-6 levels over time are associated with an accelerated development of multimorbidity with aging. Consistent with this finding and using data from 3044 middle-aged London civil servants followed over 10 years, Akbaraly and coworkers recently found that higher IL-6 levels (>2.0ng/L) were associated with half the odds ratio (OR: 0.53, CI: 0.38–0.74) of successful aging, defined as being free of major chronic disease and with optimal physical, mental, and cognitive functioning (Fabbri et al., 2014).
BioImmersion's No. 7 Systemic Booster: The New Longevity has a collection of anti aging nutrients that lower inflammation aND turn on our body’s repair mechanism.
Each of the ingredients in the No. 7 were selected toward the goal of a healthy longevity. Research has shown that IL-6 levels can be reduced by strategic dosing with the Probiotics, Phytonutrients, and Nutriceuticals offered in this formula. Further more, the Fructo Borate (within the Nutriceuticals listed) will increase blood levels of DHEA, an anabolic hormone necessary for growth and repair.
Potent Phytonutrient- Organic berries, fruits, hardy vegetables, and green leafy vegetables: strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, tart cherry, elderberry, cranberry, apple extract, pineapple, beet, broccoli florets, kale leaves, spinach leaves. BioImmersion Super Blend: Probiotics- Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium lactic, Bifidobacterium longum, Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus. Supernatant- probiotic metabolites, and ORNs. Prebiotics- Inulin from Chicory Root along with Fibers- from organic veggies, greens, fruits, and berries. Vital Nutriceuticals- Fructo Borate, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3, Folate, Chromium.
Take one to two teaspoons daily.
