Cranberry & Pomegranate: Recent Research on Prostate Cancer

Recent research is prolific and very optimist about the ability of anthocyanins  to prevent and suppress tumor cells in the prostate (Mottaghipisheh et al., 2022).

That is important new science as prostate cancer has become the 4th commonly diagnosed condition and more prevailing in 112 countries (Sung et al., 2021).

The team of  Mottaghipisheh et al. review a list of foods that are rich with anthocyanins and their chemical properties that suppress prostate's tumor cells.

What are these foods? Rice, Grape, Cranberry, Strawberry, Pomegranate, Cherry, Blueberry, Blackberry, Raspberry, and more.

Today we will focus on Cranberry and Pomegranate as the research on these two is tremendous, to use the researchers' word!

The cranberry is showing a great inhibition power with 50% anti proliferative potency. The pomegranate is one of the oldest fruits and has a high anti-carcinogenic potency - decreasing cell viability of prostate cancer.

The Article has lengthy and exacting studies on the pathways, molecules, and actions these two fruits embody in their treatment of prostate cancer, in human and animal studies. It is worth reading and studying as knowledge is empowering.

Of course, many of these fruits and berries are in the High ORAC and the No 7, and today, I thought to highlight the Cranberry Pomegranate Synbiotic because we have not talked about it in a while, and the mechanism of their work is truly exciting.

Enjoy!

My Research: Peace and a word on Metaphysics

Globe_Home 3

If you thought that metaphysics is the study that goes beyond Newtonian laws of physics, think again. We started this conversation with the premise that Freedom is not just a ‘local right’ (state or community laws) but a ‘universal law in itself’ which means, a law that is for all people, born of pure understanding of the fundamental nature of ‘being a human,’ and that means the study of metaphysics.

How does that relate to metaphysics?

The word Metaphysics was birthed by (possibly) one of Aristotle’s students who named his 14 books (on ‘first philosophy, first science, ‘wisdom’, and ‘theology’) ‘Ta meta ta phusik ’ – the after the physicals, or after the physical ones, or what now we call Aristotle’s Physics. The physical world is about nature or the natural world that is in a constant state of change. A great way of defining our natural world.

Metaphysics is beyond this changeable world, it is about things that do not change, and Aristotle called them “being as such” and also “first causes” of things, which does not change.

And this of course brings us right into Kant’s Laws of Freedom, as first causes, universal truths that do not change. A very necessary ingredient in the study of peace making. We’ll continue our walk on this path.
