Together, let’s put an end to deteriorating health

There Is Much To Say About Polyphenols, Even For Depression

We have discussed polyphenols as one of the most important nutrients to combat chronic illnesses.

Along side probiotics, vital nutraceuticals like minerals & ultra minerals, vitamins, and more - polyphenols stand as a must have solver of difficult to treat conditions, like depression.

Research has much to say about polyphenols and their effect on the major diseases of today's world, from Alzheimer to diabetes, heart and cancer, foods that are high in polyphenols such as berries, tea, coca, fruits, veggies, nuts and legumes, are important for prevention or healing - nourishing the body with the exact nutrients it needs to turn on its healing powers.

And now for the science and the team we met last week, Zeppa et al. (2022), and their great work on treating depression with nutraceuticals and physical activity.

Polyphenols, according to Zeppa et al. operate through several mechanisms that alleviate depression. Not only with their potent antioxidant properties (lowering oxidative stress), but they also reduce neuro-inflammation, and increase neurotrophin release.

Plus, polyphenols have impact on serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopaminergic systems regulations. Yes, dopamine regulation, for pleasure, motivation, and interest in life.

And because we are so focused on the gut at BioImmersion, we must point out the important role polyphenols play on gut microbiota, helping probiotic proliferate while inhibiting harmful organism.

We have discussed many research articles on how the gut influences the brain and in turn how we feel and hence how we experience life.

Polyphenols do a lot of powerlifting, and I am truly only superficially outlining the article's enthusiasm for the great influence polyphenols have on our brain and mental issues.

Tune into this Article, as it is worth reading.
