Today we will cover the core element of the aging process, the correct nutritional approach and dietary habits.

The most important factor to consider is the constant irritation within your body, aptly called Inflammageing (Franceschi & Campisi, 2014). Inflammageing is an ongoing low-grade inflammatory response from various aggravators that are external and internal. Chemicals in products we use daily, fumes, environments like homes or offices that have too much mold and dust are all external factors that cause chronic inflammation. 

Food can intensify inflammation or reduce inflammation, depending on your diet. Organic foods are a must do. Plant-based diets have the polyphenols and antioxidants that help to calm down inflammageing. The more animal products you consume, the more inflammation you create in the body. A balanced diet of 85% plant based and 15% animal products can help immensely with your overall healthy glow. Stress is an internal aggravation that stirs emotional responses that also cause inflammation. Stress can be as aging as smoking, and both can cause chronic illnesses. The root cause is a nonstop inflammation in the body. 

Supplements have promised 'beauty in a bottle' as readily as creams promise a youthful, smooth skin. Here we need to understand that anti-inflammatory ingredients along with antioxidants and vital nutraceuticals are very important in our daily diet. To heal many skin issues you need the correct nutritional approach.

A very gentle daily detox with supplements to support your liver is important. For women, getting on an excellent liver support supplement also helps to balance hormones and ease the highs and lows of a monthly cycle.

What about fine lines? As it turns out, research by Miljkovic et al. (2002/2009) found that Fructo Borate inhibits the activity of collagenase enzymes, thereby supporting a firmer skin with less wrinkles. What are these collagenase enzymes? These enzymes are actually generated by your own body and breakdown collagen. As we age, our body is not as regenerative as in our youth, which means that as the collagenase enzyme break collagen down, and your regenerative power diminish, you see the formation of wrinkles.

Boron is an intense anti-inflammatory agent (Acaroz et al., 2018), able to reduce systemic levels of hs-CRP (high sensitivity- C-Reactive Protein), a key inflammatory marker for low grade inflammation. Fructo Borate is the type of boron molecule that duplicates the natural boron found in food, which is a carbohydrate-bound boron, and hence its exceptional bioavailability.

Eating foods to calm down inflammageing and taking supplements to support the liver, bring in antioxidants, and inhibit the breaking down of collagen, all work together to help you regenerate more readily.

Drink plenty of fluids a day, including green tea, and try to have a mini-fast between 8-9pm and breakfast. Allow 12 hours of just water during the later evening hours and nighttime so your body can do what it needs to do for you.
