Longevity: A buzzword or a Serious Path for Healing?

Long before the word longevity became an industry favorite  buzzword, BioImmersion launched No 7 Systemic Booster

Longevity has become a catchword for a host of marketing misconceptions, featuring all forms of supplements that promise to reverse aging, keep us young and vital.

However, Longevity is in fact a huge scientific field of study, comprised of many different academic disciplines, from physics, cellular biology (you have heard us discuss senescence often), immunology, genetics/epigenetic, neuroscience, nutrition, lifestyles, and many more.

In particular, the field of longevity endeavors to understand the root causes of chronic illnesses, to diminish the growing epidemic, with long lasting solutions.

Longevity as a scientific theoretical framework assigned the root cause of chronic illnesses to the ongoing low grade chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and cellular senescence (Calder, 2017), although the theoretical perspective that chronic illnesses are an old-age condition is being replaced as chronic conditions are touching all ages (Watson, 2022).

The best route for aging with health at any age is lowering any stressful conditions - mental, emotional, environmental etc. - as that is what creates low grade inflammation which then become chronic and erupts into a full blown illnesses. From psychological to spiritual, dietary, to exercise, and social interaction - longevity is a full bodied study that encompasses a life lived holistically, and with wholeness (Rattan et al., 2024; Gallagher-Seaman, 2023).

Check out the bibliography and references, and No 7 Systemic Booster: The New Longevity. We named it for a good reason: it helps with foundational ingredients to lower inflammation, help different systems in the body to function better, to communicate better, and rejuvenate.

Enjoy!

Yours as Always,

Dohrea Bardell, PhD
