Chromium + Beetroot: Better Together

Dear Friends,

Sometimes the most interesting part of a formulation isn't what is in it.

It's why those ingredients are together.

Chromium and beetroot may not seem like an obvious pair. One is an essential trace mineral involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. The other is a deeply pigmented root naturally rich in compounds that have been studied for cardiovascular health and physical performance.

But look more closely at the biology, and the relationship becomes much more interesting.

First, Chromium

Chromium is needed by the body in very small amounts, but its relationship with metabolism has made it the subject of decades of scientific research.

BioImmersion uses trivalent chromium, presented as chromium polynicotinate with niacin. Each capsule provides 500 mcg of the complete chromium polynicotinate molecule, equivalent to 50 mcg of elemental chromium.

Research cited by BioImmersion has explored chromium supplementation in relation to glucose metabolism, insulin sensitivity, lipid metabolism, cardiovascular health, and weight management.

But BioImmersion didn't stop with chromium.

Then Comes the Beetroot

Beetroot brings an entirely different biological pathway into the conversation.

BioImmersion's High Active red beetroot is standardized to 10,000 ppm plant nitrate. Dietary nitrate can be converted by the body through a series of biological steps into nitric oxide, a signaling molecule involved in vascular function and blood flow.

Research cited by BioImmersion has examined beetroot and dietary nitrate in relation to circulation, blood pressure, mitochondrial efficiency, cardiovascular health, and exercise endurance. Beetroot also contains its characteristic betalain pigments, compounds studied for their antioxidant properties.

So why put beetroot in a chromium formula?

Because they approach metabolic and cardiovascular support from different directions.

One Formula. Two Complementary Roles.

Chromium's story begins largely with nutrient metabolism.

Beetroot's story adds nitric oxide and circulation.

Together, BioImmersion designed the formula to provide nutritional support across several interconnected areas, including metabolic health, cardiovascular function, energy, stamina, and exercise performance.

It's a good example of something that matters deeply in formulation:

More ingredients aren't necessarily the goal. More thoughtful relationships between ingredients are.

What's Inside Each Capsule

Trivalent Chromium Polynicotinate
500 mcg, providing 50 mcg elemental chromium

High Active Red Beetroot
250 mg, standardized to 10,000 ppm plant nitrate

The formula is vegan, gluten free and kosher, with no excipients, fillers, or flowing agents.

The Bigger Picture

The body doesn't experience metabolism, circulation, energy, and cardiovascular function as completely separate systems.

They interact continuously.

That is what makes the combination of chromium and beetroot so compelling. Rather than approaching one biological pathway in isolation, the formula brings together two nutrients with distinct but complementary roles.

Chromium supports the way nutrients are metabolized. Beetroot introduces the nitrate-to-nitric-oxide pathway associated with circulation and vascular function.

And sometimes, understanding why two ingredients belong together tells us far more about a supplement than simply reading the ingredient list.

Best,

Josselin Roy
